Fred Oliver: Walter Davis opened a barber shop here. The barbers over the years included Jim Campbell, Arthur King, Roy Shaw, Fred Oliver, Walter Davis, Arthur Griggs, and Abner Davis. Grant Rivers was the shower and shoeshine attendant.
Elizabeth Ann Gaddy Rivers: I well remember Grant Rivers. I used to take my loafers to him for the best "spit shine" in town!
