James W. Jenkins: Lila Teal was the daughter of Dr. D. T. Teal. She built this house when the adjacent property was sold.
After Miss Teal's death, the house was sold to Hollis Hurst, Jr. and became rental property. Today it is owned by Hollis's widow, Joyce Deese Hurst. It is currently the residence of the Chad Vick family.
