Harry Harrington Harrell House

  S. Hazel Ellis: Mr. Harry Harrington Harrell was a rural mail carrier and Kate was a homemaker. They had one son, David, who lives at Hilton Head. Mr. Harrell drove a shiny black Hudson. He would not let anyone close the door to the car. He did that himself. Mrs. Harrell was a great cook who gave us something to eat every time we visited. She also taught Catechism to the children at the Presbyterian Church and when we recited the Catechism she gave us a silver dollar.

Katherine Ward Rivers Braswell: The Harrell’s had a daughter that died in infancy. Her name was Kate. David and daddy were good friends so we visited the Harrell’s frequently. Mrs. Harrell often sent flowers and cookies to me. I loved to visit with them while mother and daddy played tennis on the court across the street. I recall a gold fish pond in the yard and I enjoyed feeding the gold fish. I think David is deceased today.
